Magic Happened at New Foundation Center's Annual Benefit 2011
There was magic in the air at the Highland Park Country Club on Sunday September 11th where 175 families and friends gathered to raise funds for New Foundation Center’s annual benefit. The evening featured a magician, dj and plenty of great items on the silent auction. More than $100,000 was raised for the agency’s programs and services offered to people with serious mental illness who seek support in their recovery. Todd Budnik, volunteer auctioneer, raised $22,000 during the service auction to support special projects like the renovation project at the Morton Grove house, dinner club, employment supports and the expressive arts program.
“Once again our donors have outdone themselves to help us reach our fundraising goal and then some. We are truly grateful for their generosity,” stated Bette Budnik, events chairperson.
